Overview

What Are FRP Pultruded Profiles?

FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Polymer) pultruded profiles are advanced composite structural shapes manufactured through the continuous pultrusion process. Our profiles combine high-strength E-glass or S-glass fibers with thermosetting resin systems including polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy to create lightweight yet exceptionally strong structural components. The pultrusion process ensures consistent cross-sectional geometry, superior fiber alignment, and repeatable mechanical properties across every profile length.

Our comprehensive product range includes I-beams, wide-flange beams, channels, angles, square and rectangular tubes, round tubes, flats, and custom-designed shapes. Each profile delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, electrical non-conductivity, low thermal conductivity, and excellent strength-to-weight ratios. FRP pultruded profiles weigh approximately 75% less than steel equivalents while offering comparable structural performance in many applications.

These profiles maintain their structural integrity in harsh environments where traditional materials fail. They resist attack from chemicals, saltwater, UV radiation, and extreme temperatures. Available in standard stock lengths of 6 meters with custom cutting and machining services, our FRP pultruded profiles are ideal for infrastructure, industrial processing, marine, renewable energy, and architectural applications worldwide.

Key Features

Features

Superior Corrosion Resistance

FRP profiles resist attack from acids, alkalis, solvents, and saltwater. Unlike steel, they never rust or require protective coatings, making them ideal for chemical plants, wastewater treatment, and marine environments.

Exceptional Strength-to-Weight Ratio

With tensile strengths up to 400 MPa and weighing only 1.8 g/cm³, FRP profiles offer steel-comparable strength at a fraction of the weight. This reduces installation costs, foundation requirements, and handling equipment needs.

Electrical & Thermal Non-Conductivity

FRP is electrically non-conductive and thermally insulating, making it the material of choice for electrical infrastructure, substation components, and applications requiring thermal break properties.

UV & Weather Resistance

UV-stabilized resin formulations include ultraviolet inhibitors and pigments that prevent degradation from solar exposure, ensuring long-term performance in outdoor installations without fading or embrittlement.

Low Maintenance Lifecycle

Eliminate recurring costs of painting, galvanizing, and corrosion repairs. FRP profiles provide 25+ year service life with minimal maintenance, delivering the lowest total cost of ownership over the product lifecycle.

Design Flexibility

Custom shapes, colors, and resin formulations can be engineered to meet specific project requirements. Our in-house design team supports OEMs and engineers with custom profile tooling and prototyping services.
