Overview
What Are FRP Handrails & Guardrails?
FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) handrails and guardrails are high-strength safety railing systems manufactured using the pultrusion process. These systems provide durable, corrosion-resistant fall protection for industrial walkways, platforms, stairways, and elevated work areas where worker safety is paramount.
Unlike traditional steel or aluminum railings, FRP handrails offer exceptional resistance to chemical corrosion, moisture, and UV degradation without the need for painting or galvanizing. They are electrically non-conductive, non-sparking, and meet OSHA 1910.29 and IBC 1607.8 load requirements for industrial guardrail systems.
Available in multiple configurations including standard handrail, kneerail-and-toeboard, and heavy-duty guardrail designs, FRP railing systems come complete with all necessary post brackets, mounting hardware, and connection fittings for rapid modular installation.

Features
OSHA & IBC Compliant
All FRP handrail and guardrail systems are designed to meet OSHA 1910.29, IBC 1607.8, and ANSI A1264.1 fall protection standards. Top rails withstand 200 lbs concentrated load in any direction.
Zero Maintenance – No Painting Required
FRP does not rust, rot, or corrode. The color is integrated throughout the material, eliminating the need for painting, galvanizing, or protective coatings over the entire service life.
Lightweight & Modular Design
Weighing up to 70% less than steel, FRP handrails are easy to transport and install. The modular railing system uses pre-drilled posts and slip-fit connections for rapid, tool-efficient assembly.
Electrically Non-Conductive & Non-Sparking
FRP is a natural electrical insulator and does not produce sparks upon impact. This makes it the safest choice for electrical substations, battery storage facilities, and hazardous chemical zones.
UV-Stabilized & Weather-Resistant
Formulated with UV inhibitors and light-stable pigments, FRP handrails maintain their color and structural properties even after years of direct sunlight exposure in outdoor environments.
Complete System with All Accessories
Each system includes top rails, mid rails, toe boards, posts, mounting brackets, and all necessary stainless steel hardware. Custom configurations for curved, angled, or sloped installations available.
